IT Horror Stories with Jack Smith is a podcast about those stories. Jack talks with people from across the IT world about real incidents they’ve experienced: what happened, how they dealt with it, and what everyone else can learn from the aftermath.
The technology ranges from mainframes and datacenters to networking, cybersecurity, cloud, Shadow IT, OT, development, and AI. The systems change. The ways things can go unexpectedly wrong seem remarkably persistent.
Stories are anonymized where needed, and the focus is on situations, procedures, technology, and lessons learned — not blaming the people who happened to be there when things went sideways.
